During your complimentary implant consultation at Richardson Family & Implant Dentistry, you’ll undergo an oral exam and imaging to determine if you’re a suitable candidate for dental implants. Unlike other practices, we don’t charge for the 3D image captured with our cone-beam computed tomography scanner if you decide to move forward! The 3D scan is instrumental for analyzing the quality of your underlying bone and planning precision surgery.

Whether you’re getting single dental implants or full-mouth dental implants, we offer IV sedation to ensure your comfort. Once sedation has taken effect, a small hole is made in your gums and bone, the implant post is carefully placed, and your gums are sutured closed. If you get full-mouth dental implants, Dr. Sahori places temporary teeth within 24 hours of your surgery.

It’s important that we monitor your progress during the 3–6 months it takes for your implants to fuse (osseointegrate). At these visits, Dr. Sahori will check your implant sites for any signs of inflammation and an infection called peri-implantitis. If plaque and tartar buildup are detected, it’s important to treat this to prevent potential implant failure.

After your implants have fully integrated, the abutments are attached to them, and your gums are allowed to heal for a brief period. Then, the abutments are connected to your crown, bridge, or full-mouth prosthesis. With proper care and routine follow-up care from our team, you’ll enjoy a strong, radiant smile for many years to come!
